Mark Morris Marin Bears TAAP (The Achievement Award Program)

Since 1999, The Achievement Award Program (TAAP) has provided low-income students with the resources needed to attend and excel at UC Berkeley. TAAP serves high-achieving, community-minded students from the moment they choose UC Berkeley through their undergraduate career, providing both financial assistance and supportive programming.  Our endowment for the Mark Morris Marin Bears TAAP scholarship has reached nearly $100,000; $250,000 is needed to fully endow the scholarship.

Recipients receive $6,000/year and a laptop for 8 semesters. Junior transfers receive $6,000/year and a laptop for 4 semesters.

Marin Bears Leadership Award 

Established in 1934, The Leadership Award is a one-year, merit-based scholarship of $2,000/year that recognizes undergraduate students at UC Berkeley who demonstrate innovative, initiative-driven leadership impacting their academic, work, or community environments. Students compete for the scholarship every year, ensuring a diverse and dynamic annual cohort of leaders whose work is relevant and newly inspiring. The Marin Bears endow one Leadership Award for a student from Marin County.
